Ultra Music Festival

Movement Electronic Music Festival

Detroit is the birthplace of techno, so it's only right that it has a major dance music festival. Movement Electronic Music Festival's roots go back to the turn of the millennium, as its precursor, Detroit Electronic Music Festival, ran from 2000-2005. The city with an electronic soul found a way to keep the party going and the festival has even spread all the to Turin in Italy.

Lost Lands

No list of the best American dance music festivals would be complete without a bass music entry. The sub-genre is thriving in The States and perhaps no bass music festival is more acclaimed than Lost Lands. The festival was founded by Canadian dubstep legend Excision, who also hand-picks the lineup of the biggest and most creative bass and dubstep artists.
