A towering European festival giant

Rock Werchter is a multi-genre music festival held in Belgium, and is one of the longest-running and most widely adored celebrations of music in Europe.

Originating way back in 1975 as a one-day event, Rock Werchter has now expanded into a four day affair to accommodate the ample roster of icons that perform each year, all of which span rock, metal, pop, indie, dance music and more.

A towering giant of European music festivals, Rock Werchter welcomes upwards of 150,000 fans year after year to see some of the world's biggest bands: headlining in 2022 are Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Faith No More and twenty one pilots.

With a "for the people" attitude, an illustrious history and mammoth lineups, Rock Werchter has undoubtedly reached bucket list status.

FAQs

BY PLANE:

The nearest airport is Brussels Airport (BRU). Upon arrival take the train to Leuven (13 minutes). From here take the 333, 433, or 513 bus to Werchter De Brug (20 minutes). Signs to the festival entrance will be posted at this stop.

Alternatively, there is also a De Lijn special shuttle bus service which goes from the Leuven train station directly to the festival.

BY TRAIN:

Leuven train station is accessible from most European cities but may require a transfer. A festival ticket entitles you to 1 free and personal e-train ticket for a return journey in 2nd class to Rock Werchter. Transfers with extra buses of De Lijn are included.

No, this is an all ages festival. However all festival-goers must have a valid ticket, including children.
