Hurricane Festival is one of the biggest, most historic alternative rock and pop festivals on the European continent.
Taking place in the municipality of Scheeßel near Bremen, Hurricane has brought swathes of iconic artists to Germany since its first edition in 1973, establishing itself as one of Europe's most sought-after festivals alongside its sister festival Southside.
Hurricane has cultivated a rich history whilst continually inviting the brightest names in alternative rock, electronica, and pop music to perform in front of the country's most ardent festival-goers. Legends like Lou Reed, Radiohead, Beastie Boys, The Cure, Björk, Rammstein, and David Bowie have performed over the years - Hurricane can lay claim to being Bowie's final ever live show.
The family-friendly atmosphere, the range of vibrant food stalls, and headline sets from Kings Of Leon, The Killers, Martin Garrix, Deichkind, Seeed, and twenty one pilots in 2022 will no doubt blow you away.

Eichenring, in the far north of Germany, is an open green space, which includes a sand-surface racing ring as well as more than enough room for the festival site.

FAQs
Bremen is the closest airport to Scheeßel.
FROM BREMEN AIRPORT: The best way to travel from Bremen Airport to the festival site is by train. In total, the journey will take around 1 hour 15 minutes, costing roughly €30. Take one of the regular trams from the airport to Bremen Hbf station, then the hourly Metronom line train to Scheeßel.
Children 6 or under are not allowed at Hurricane, and those 18 or under must carry written permission with them at all times. This can be downloaded from the festival's official site.
