Awakenings: New Years Day Special is an annual electronic New Years Day extravaganza. This one is for all those people who either want to keep the party going or felt their NYE should have been better.
Its possible (though not probable) that some parties around the world are as good as Awakenings parties, but its undeniable that no one does New Years like Awakenings.
With unparalleled light shows and the best DJs in the world, this is guaranteed to be one of the best nights of your year. And if your New Years resolution is to be more active and adventurous, this is the perfect way to start.

Amsterdam's Gashouder is a former gas storage unit, now re-imagined as a venue packed with character and fitted from floor to ceiling with top-level sound and visual production.

FAQs
BY PLANE: Amstedam's main airport is Schipol International Airport. From there you can travel by:
TAXI: This would cost about €40 and take around 20 minutes.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Trains depart every 10 minutes from Schiphol to Sloterdijk station. There, switch to bus line 348, which departs every 15 minutes, and ride it to the V.D. Hoopstraat stop. From there, it is just a short walk north and over the canal to the Gashouder. The journey will cost approx. €5 and take about 30 minutes.
Alternatively, you can take a 20 minute train to Central Station and either hop on a bus 21 to 'Van Hall', which takes roughly 15 minutes, or take a taxi costing around €10 straight to the venue.
