Parklife 2023 sees the Manchester festival return to the city's Heaton Park in early June for a weekend rave brimming with dance and alternative music's foremost names.
Establishing itself in recent years as a firm favourite amongst the UK's incredible selection of summer music festivals, Parklife consistently curates top-tier lineups across its eight stages, welcoming headliners such as Tyler, the Creator, Solange, Disclosure, Megan Thee Stallion, Dave, Khalid, The Streets, The xx, Lorde, and Liam Gallagher for recent editions.
Beyond the main stage is where Parklife earned its glowing reputation however. With seven stages spanning celebrated artisans of house, techno, garage, drum and bass music galore, each roster is curated by associated tastemakers (such as fellow Mancunian event series The Warehouse Project) who invite the lauded likes of Chase & Status, Bicep, Jamie xx, Four Tet, Peggy Gou, Camelphat, Carl Cox to ignite Manchester's mammoth metropolitan rave.
Once the main festival ends each day, festival-goers have historically had a number of after parties to choose from – named Afterlife – which have featured a selection of artists that performed during the main festival (as well as others) in venues across Manchester. Details of Afterlife are usually revealed closer to the festival.
Having started out back in 2010 as the curiously named Mad Ferret Festival in Rusholme's Platt Fields Park, the festival rebranded to Parklife and moved to its current home in Heaton Park in 2012. For over a decade now, the festival has truly taken on a life of its own.
