A new wave of acts have been confirmed for the eagerly anticipated debut of edition of Sónar Lisboa, taking place in the Portuguese capital from 8-10 April 2022.
In keeping with the established Sónar approach of balancing internationally renowned dance music stars with champions of experimental, underground, and local and global club scenes, the latest announcements brings a wealth of diverse electronic music to the table.
The festival's opening night, for example, will now welcome house and techno favourites like Dixon and Richie Hawtin, as well as boundary-pushing experimental musician Arca, while Saturday 9th April sees live performances from Bicep and Leon Vynehall, as well masked Afro-Peruvian sonic explorers Dengue Dengue Dengue and Mexican stoner rock favourites Acid Alice.
It's a lineup rich in the cultural textures and eclecticism that has helped to make Sónar such a force in the festival world, and the latest announcement only ramps up the excitement for the first ever Portuguese edition of the event, held in one of Europe's most vibrant cities.
