2021 is already looking better than last year. Need more proof? Enter the brand new, star-studded dancehall and Afrobeats destination: Native Festival.
Given that we are in less than normal times, the festival is using a less than normal approach to ensure the party can go ahead safely, taking over the entire Moon Palace Resort in Cancun this September and turning it into a uniquely immersive cultural experience.
Like everything good, Native is anchored in music. To make sure their inaugural edition goes off right, the festival have tabbed some of the biggest and most influential artists across the dancehall, hip hop, and Afrobeats scenes, with the likes of Burna Boy, the queen of dancehall Spice, Diamond Platnumz aka Simba, and Fireboy DML heading the first wave lineup. When all is said and done there will be over 30 acts spread over two musical areas.
Along with the musical lineup, there will be a wide range of arts on full display, with dance, cuisine, fashion, and visual arts given special attention. Because the festival is using the Moon Palace Resort as its home base, there are no time or noise constraints, meaning the partying won't stop till the final notes have been played on the last day. Add in that each ticket provides unlimited food and drink and you've got yourself one hell of a way to get back into your music festival groove.
Native Festival 2021 takes place September 2-6 in Cancun, Mexico. Find more info on our guide and book your all inclusive Native Festival 2021 ticket packages here.
