As more and more festivals are bought by big conglomerates, many festivals are starting to feature similar lineups and similar experiences on site. Because of this we need to celebrate independent festivals that break the mold.
One festival that is unquestionably offering a unique experience is Float Fest, which is making its triumphant return in 2022. Taking place on the Guadalupe River in Gonzales, Texas, the festival uses its surroundings to create something that cannot be copied. Tubing around the festival site during the day and listening to a truly singular lineup at night is a combination of things we didn't know we needed.
Revealing the lineup for this year's comeback edition, I think it's safe to say you will not see another grouping of artists like this anywhere else. Leading the way are indie mainstay Vampire Weekend, EDM powerhouse DJs deadmau5 and Marshmello, hip hop luminaries Chance The Rapper and Pusha T, and modern rock leaders Cage The Elephant.
Joining them over Float Fest's two days will be the likes of Kaytranada, Lord Huron, 100 gecs, Chvrches, Quinn XCII, Hippie Sabotage, and more.
Float Fest 2022 takes place July 23-24 in Gonzales, Texas. Find more info on our Float Fest 2022 guide and book your Float Fest 2022 tickets, camping passes, and add-ons here.
