The first wave of acts have been announced for the next edition of Afro Nation Festival in Portugal, with the lineup already boasting another inviting mix of Afrobeats, reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, R&B and more.
Nine acts lead the initial announcement for the summer spectacle: Aya Nakamura, Chronixx, Dadju, Diamond Platnumz, French Montana, Maître Gims, Naira Marley, Torey Lanez, and Wizkid – all heading to the The Algarve coast from 17-19 July for the second European instalment of "the world's number one beach festival".
The forthcoming edition on the sands Praia da Rocha in Portimão follows a landmark debut last summer, which laid the foundation for a Ghanaian edition in December 2019, and Afro Nation Puerto Rico which will be held from 18-21 March.
Among the other acts unveiled in the latest announcement are Afro B, Pa Salieu, Tion Wayne, R2Bees, and Sho Madjozi. See below for the full lineup so far, and head to our guide for more information about the festival.
