Zrće Beach is one of Europe's most sought after destinations for sun-soaked relaxation by crystalline seas, epic vistas, and hedonistic nightlife, rivalled only perhaps by Ibiza in terms of popularity and prestige.

So you'd understand why there's plenty of festivals held upon the Adriatic coastline, but for techno connoisseurs there's just one event to set your sights on: Sonus Festival.

Since 2013, the minds behind Time Warp have used their connections to ship over both icons and upstarts of electronic music to soundtrack the five-day party, in turn collating one of the most impressive techno lineups on the continent year-on-year.

Spread across the beach's famed clubs Kalypso, Aquarius, and Papaya, the scenery is almost as impressive as the impeccable sound - just visiting the clubs themselves is a must for any experiential raver.

Come August 2022 after two absent editions, Sonus is hitting up the aforementioned clubs once again in spectacular fashion, bringing along the likes of Richie Hawtin, Amelie Lens, Sven Väth, Chris Liebing, Monika Kruse, Dixon, Seth Troxler, ANNA, Pan-Pot, Paula Temple and many more for their return to the rave.

It doesn't take an awful lot of convincing to get party-goers on the plane to Croatia, but regardless, we're taking you back through time and techno with a photo journal of the festival's best photos throughout the years, just to whet your wanderlust that extra little bit.
