All Points East 2022: Ones To Watch - Saturday 27th August

Luno presents All Points East 2022

All Point East is upon us and no matter how many times you’ve been, there's never a dull moment.

The lineup this year is as eclectic as ever, with some of the biggest names and well-established artists and DJs in music joining forces to create one of the best festivals in London.

Talking of DJs, the electronic music sibling double act Disclosure return to England's capital in one of their most highly-anticipated comeback shows on Saturday 27th August.

But there's plenty of stellar acts to catch ahead of their headline slot, so we've done a little detective work into the ones to watch that day.

Koffee

As a fan of old-school and modern-day reggae and dancehall, Koffee has brought us many hits since 2018 - including ‘Pull Up’ - racking up over millions of YouTube views and winning a Grammy Award for 2019 EP Rapture.

This girl is in her element, bringing her talent and soothing tunes to the forefront. Did you know that she’s only 22 years old? (WOW!). She exudes high energy with her explosive stage presence.

James Blake

We’ve known of him since 2011 when he dropped his first demo, then soon went on to achieve a Mercury Prize Award nomination for his self-titled album. He's an incredible talent. Who is it? James Blake.

Releases like ‘Coming Back’ with SZA and 'Barefoot In The Park' with ROSALÍA hit millions of YouTube views in the last few years - truly an artist to take notice of.

Freddie Gibbs

You either like or love Common, but have you heard of Freddie Gibbs? An American rapper, who has been creating incredible music over the last decade - a great body of work he'll have to show off at All Point East.

Freddie Gibbs performed at NPR Tiny Desk two years ago and it got people talking: 'Gibbs should be bigger than he already is with his talent', 'Gibbs with a live band is so dope' etc. Basically, this is informing to see him live on the day.

Yung Singh

Disclosure we all know and love, but have you heard of Yung Singh? Already well-established, he’s an underground garage DJ whose live streamed performance for Boiler Room last year popped off on YouTube, with DJ Mag also dubbing him “one to watch”.

His performance was hugely talked about, helping to revive the UK Garage scene. You should get to know him - his live sets are consistently fire.

ENNY

ENNY has become one of the most recognisable emerging artists in UK R&B since she started her music career over four years ago, and has already collaborated with the likes of Jorja Smith, Malibu, and Odeal to name just a few heavyweights.

Blending rap and spoken word atop her modern mid-tempo R&B beats and rhythms, the immensely impressive ENNY has proven she is an artist you don’t mess with.
