Waves Vienna is an indie and electronic music festival and conference in Vienna's city centre. A city steeped in musical heritage makes for a perfect modern host, turning out diverse and intimate venues in support of one of the real highlights of the year.
Lineups feature a careful selection of innovative artists, with bands, singers and DJs forming a profile of up-and-coming and alternative music. This year's focus countries are Portugal and Slovakia, meaning a significant proportion of the live programme will be made up of artists from the two nations.
The festival's conference also plays a big part in shaping and directing the industry, as key figures join discussion panels and give talks throughout the festival's three days.

The festival takes place in multiple venues across Vienna's 9th district, with the areas clubs live music venues joined by pop-up and one-off locations designed specifically for the festival.
