Summer rock in Portuguese woodland
Paredes de Coura Festival is an annual rock festival held in Portugal. Taking place inside the idyllic Praia do Taboão and its natural amphitheater, the festival beautifully combines sun-drenched riverside relaxation with woodland partying.
With over 20 years experience and having been named one of the best summer festivals in Europe by the Spanish edition of Rolling Stone, the festival has welcomed the likes of the Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire and Queens of the Stone Age over the years.
Away from the music, the winding Coura river runs through the festival site, and has become the place to kick back and cool down, with scores of people constantly playing in its waters and relaxing on its banks.
