Portugal's oldest rock festival
EDP Vilar de Mouros is a rock and indie music festival in northern Portugal.
First held over half a century ago in 1965, the festival can lay claim to the title of the country's oldest rock festival.
Over the years, the town of Vilar de Mouros has played host to such music legends as U2, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, The Cure, Metallica, Stone Roses and many more. Among those adding their names to this impressive list this summer are two of Scotland's most revered indie exports, Primal Scream and The Jesus & Mary Chain.
Held amongst idyllic greenery on the banks of the Coura river, the festival offers music fans the chance to see genuine rock icons in an intimate setting.
