The Croatian summer's techno showpiece

Sonus Festival is a techno beach festival held on Croatia's Zrce Beach. The stunning Adriatic coast comes to life, as some of the world's best dance clubs host huge superstars of techno.

Aquarius, Kalypso and Papaya open their doors to an international audience year after year, hosting some of the season's stand-out parties in perfect summer surroundings.

Headline performances from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth, Dixon and Pan-Pot bring a creative mix of styles, helping to keep Sonus at the very forefront of the European summer.

In recent years, Croatia's Zrce Beach has shot to the very top of the pile when it comes to European summer festival locations. And with an award-winning beach flanked by some of the best dance clubs in the world, it's not hard to see why.

FAQs

The nearest airport to the festival is Zadar Airport, around 50km away, and is served by destinations across much of Europe. If you’re travelling from Italy and Spain, you’ll have to fly to Split Airport, 200km from the festival. Airport transfers to the festival are available.

BUS FROM ZADAR TO NOVALJA: There are just a handful of buses running this route per day. It’s a shorter journey, about 1hr 30 mins – again, BusCroatia will give times – and will cost €10-15.

FROM SPLIT: The best route from Split to Novalja is:

TAXI TO TROGIR: A taxi to the nearby town of Trogir will be about €25-30 for a large car (4-8 passengers).

BUS FROM TROGIR TO ZADAR: There are many departures each day, but they can be irregular. Search for BusCroatia for exact times, and expect to pay between €12 and €19. The journey lasts around 2 hrs 40 mins. From here, you will need to board another bus onto Novalja.

Minimum age is strictly 18.

For Sonus, we will send out e-tickets provided to us directly from the festival organiser rather than our own e-tickets. We dispatch e-tickets in batches and will email you as soon as they are ready. If documents are showing as 'Waiting for e-tickets from the supplier' on your account, then they are not yet ready for download. You should have received all of your trip information by August 12, 2016, but we try to send them out much earlier. For apartments and airport transfer we send out our own e-tickets. These e-tickets are already available for download from your Festicket profile at www.festicket.com/profile.
