A huge beach party

RFM SOMNII is an electronic music festival in the Portuguese coastal city of Figueira da Foz. Now more than a decade old, the festival is one of the country's biggest dance music spectacles.

Across three days the lineup is packed with giants of the scene, with EDM, big room house, trance and elements of harder styles thrown into the mix across the weekend.

What's more, there's production, staging and special effects that are more than capable of matching the bombastic sounds that play out over the sands of the city's beach.

The festival takes place on the golden sands of Praia Do Relógio in Figueira Da Foz, around half way between Porto and Lisbon.

BY TRAIN: From Lisboa Oriente station, take a train to Alfarelos, followed by another to Figueira da Foz. From Porto Campanha take a train to Coimbra, and then another to Figueira da Foz.

BY PLANE: From both Lisbon and Porto Airports, you can reach the festival by train, via the respective city's central stations.
