20 years of seaside reggae

MUSA CASCAIS is a reggae music festival held every summer on the Portuguese coast. 2019 sees the festival reach its 21st anniversary, marking more than two decades of the country's biggest and best reggae celebrations.
Across three days, the festival welcomes a lineup of international stars of the scene that includes veteran Caribbean performers alongside the leading lights of the newest generations.
And with the glorious golden sands and famous surf spot of Carcavelos beach right on the festival's doorstep, the whole weekend is perfectly set up to be a summer celebration of sun, sea and reggae music.

The festival site overlooks the beach at Carcavelos, around 9km east of the town of Cascais and 20km west of Lisbon.

FAQs
BY PLANE: The closest major airport is Lisbon. From here, take the city centre bus to Cais do Sodre station. From here you can catch a train to Carcavelos.
BY TRAIN: Carcavelos can reached directly by rail from Lisbon's Cais do Sodre station in around 25 minutes. The station is around a 10 minute walk from the festival site.
BY CAR: The festival takes place just off the N6 road, which runs all the way along the south coast from Lisbon to Cascais.
The festival has its own reduced mobility zone on a heightened platform for better views of the concerts (complete with access to toilets). There is also a reserved carpark for festival-goers with disabilities or reduced mobility.
Yes, there will be 3 car parks available for festival-goers located directly next to the festival site. One is free, one will cost €2 and the other is reserved for those with reduced mobility.
