The European cousin of a Detroit legend

Movement Torino is an electronic music festival, held each year in the northern Italian cultural city of Turin.

Born in 2006 as the European branch of the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, the festival has come to be known in Italy simply as Movement, such is the weight it holds as one of the leading electronic festivals in Europe; indeed, in 2016 it received official patronage from the European Commission.

As well as iconic performances in the Lingotto Fiere from contemporary Techno legends, the festival has carefully cultivated its workshops and talks over the years making it much more than a dance party.

FAQs

The nearest airport is Turin International Airport, 16km out of Turin city centre. It is served by low-cost carriers from across Europe.

By car or taxi from the airport, it takes around 30 minutes to reach the city centre. This will cost between €30 and €50 in a metered taxi.

The SADEM bus also goes from Turin Airport to the city centre. This journey will take around 45 minutes and cost €6.50.

The quickest way into the city, though, is by train. The airport railway station is located a few metres from the arrivals terminal and it takes around 20 minutes to reach Turin GTT Dora Railway Station in the middle of town. This costs just €3. Tickets are sold at the ticket office (Ricevitoria) at airport arrivals.

The nearest Metro station to the venue is Fermata 8230 - Metro Lingotto, which is on line M1. Regional trains also serve Torino Lingotto, which is again just a short walk from the venue.
