An eclectic mix in the German countryside
Hurricane Festival is a multi-genre music festival held in the north of Germany. Along with its 'twin' Southside, which takes place concurrently in the south of the country, the festival welcomes the great and good of rock, indie, electronic and alternative music for a long weekend in the countryside.
Since the first edition in 1997 the festival has become a key date on the German music calendar; and with impressive lineups year on year, it's easy to see why.
Previous headliners have included the likes of Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters, The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys, to name just a few.

Eichenring is a huge outdoor space that accommodates a sand-surface racing ring.
Located in the far north of Germany, east of Bremen city, the Scheeßel region is dissected by the river Wümme.

FAQs
Bremen is the closest airport to Scheeßel.
FROM BREMEN AIRPORT: The best way to travel from Bremen Airport to the festival site is by train. In total, the journey will take around 1 hour 15 minutes, costing roughly €30. Take one of the regular trams from the airport to Bremen Hbf station, then the hourly Metronom line train to Scheeßel.
Children 6 or under are not allowed at Hurricane, and those 18 or under must carry written permission with them at all times. This can be downloaded from the festival's official site.
