An eclectic feast of global rhythms
Fiesta des Suds is a music festival in Marseilles, France. Held in the city's famous Docks des Suds, the four-day festival invites a diverse lineup of performers from the worlds of rap, reggae, funk, soul, as well as music from Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and beyond.
Now more than a quarter of a century old, the festival is an established part of Marseille's musical and cultural landscape, and its musical programming reflects the rich cultural diversity of the French city.
This is evident in the lineup for this year, with Syrian pop sensation Omar Souleyman, French Afro-trap pioneer MHD and Malian music legends Amadou & Mariam among those making their way to the south of France for the festival.
