Donington ignites with heavy metal and rock riffs

Download Festival is the UK's number one heavy metal and rock music festival, continually inviting legends of the genre to start a raucous weekend party at its iconic Donington Park site each June.
Reinforcing the location's legacy as rock 'n' roll's spiritual home, Download stakes its claim as heavy metal music's British showpiece with a revolving door of iconic headliners: recent years have seen the likes of Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slipknot, Tool, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Muse, KISS, Rammstein, and even Black Sabbath all headline.
In addition to hearing the biggest riffs in heavy metal music, Download has regularly partnered up with wrestling brands including WWE and NXT UK to bring some of the sport's superstars to the festival, while the infamous inflatable Wedding Chapel, Circus of Horrors, and musical comedy continue to entertain the masses when they're taking a break from moshing in the mud.
And once the Arena's music has finished, the campsite's after hours zone keeps things running until 2am on Friday and Saturday with bars, funfair rides, and even a cinema.
