After a couple years off due to COVID, San Diego's CRSSD Festival has returned in full form. The festival, which takes place twice a year in Bayfront Park, boasts three awesome stages that look out to the beautiful beaches right outside the park. With awe-inspiring sunsets, San Diego's downtown buildings standing tall in the background, and airplanes flying overhead as they descend into San Diego International Airport, the spectacle of CRSSD is not one to miss.
The 2022 spring edition is now in the books and featured a typically stacked bill of established and up-and-coming talent. It was no easy feat but after much deliberation we've come up with our top 5 artists to keep an eye on from this year's spring CRSSD Festival.
John Summit - House/Tech House
First up on the list is a producer/DJ who has been taking the house music scene by storm with his catchy songs and non-stop party persona. Starting off his set with an original Latin House track, La Danza, set to hit streaming platforms on March 11, John Summit set the scene for what would be a very energized dance set. With remixes of The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, and more, he kept the people up on their feet dancing for the entirety of his set.

SG Lewis - Electronic/Indie Rock
Next up is electronic indie rock artist SG Lewis who has absolutely blown up over the last few years with some incredible singles and his highly praised 2021 album, times. Playing a live set on the main stage, SG was accompanied by a drummer and pianist to help bring his music fully to life for the excited crowd. At one point, SG called for the entire crowd to drop to the floor leading to a massive jump on the drop. Pieces like this solidified his performance as one of the best of the weekend.

Get Real - Tech House/Experimental House
Super group Get Real, which consists of Dirtybird label boss Claude VonStroke and legendary DJ/producer Green Velvet, put on quite the show, closing out the Palms Stage on Saturday night. With only a few releases as a duo, Get Real served up an impressive house set with some truly mind blowing sounds and beats. If you ever get the chance to see these two tear down the house as Get Real, it is highly recommended.

Parcels - Indie Rock
One of the biggest surprises of the weekend was the indie rock group Parcels playing an incredible sunset set to a fully packed crowd. Seeing as CRSSD typically books house and techno acts, having a full-band indie rock booking seems a bit out of place. However, with their infectious energy, cool looks, and catchy songs, Parcels proved that they can get any type of crowd on their feet dancing. They're definitely a band to keep your eye on as they continue to grow their influence on modern music.

Sofi Tukker - Indie House
Last but not least, the powerhouse duo Sofi Tukker took the stage to finish out the final day of CRSSD Fest to an absolutely packed crowd. Despite the draw from techno artist Sam Paganini and the incredible Four Tet, Sofi Tukker pulled a huge gathering of people to their show, offering an upbeat, interactive set that included a live set up, an impromptu dance troupe performing on stage, and a large focus on crowd interaction. This set had so much energy that you could really tell how happy the duo were to be back on stage. With their new album Wet Tennis on the horizon, Sofi Tukker is definitely one to keep your eye on.
