The nearest airport is Olbia -Costa Smeralda (30 km) from San Teodoro.
If you are considering flying into Alghero the second nearest airport (200km) we would recommend renting a car.
Cagliari airport is in the south of the island and the furthest, an amazing road trip would take around 2 hours and 40 minutes.
The island of Sardinia can be reached from most major cities within Europe by air. As one of the most well-connected islands in the Mediterranean, access by car is possible by travelling onboard one of the 201 ferries per week. Routes are available from Mainland Italy, Spain, France, Corsica, and Sicily by ferry to Sardinia.
Local Buses – One of the most cost-effective ways to travel to San Teodoro. The bus stop is located within the airport site itself to the right side of the car park on exiting the airport. Tickets are purchased directly from the driver for around 4 Euros. There are two transport companies that provide buses to San Teodoro:
ARST +39 800 865 042 which will drop you in the town centre and lli Deplano +39 0784 295030 which will drop you just outside of San Teodoro.
Airport Transfer options:
Taxi Transfer – Taxis can be found just outside the terminal building by the Arrivals area. The minimum fare is EUR 3.50, after which the fee is EUR 2.60 for the first 5km, 5km – 35km the charge is EUR 1.90 per km. Olbia airport to San Teodoro is 35km.
Car Rental – the journey to San Teodoro is serviced with a very good standard of road and takes a little over 20 minutes to drive. Please check that your accommodation has free parking.
Sound Suite festival airport shuttle scheduled and operated by San Teodoro Beach Bus
Our travel partner San Teodoro Beach Bus offers an airport shuttle from Olbia airport to San Teodoro for Sound Suite Festival attendees. Your transfer can be booked with them from 1 April 2022 onwards by WhatsApp message or telephoning the office on +39 349 4453924 and is active from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm for reservations, (24 hours for emergencies)
Please mention when booking you are attending Sound Suite Festival. Your transfer can be paid in cash on the coach, the costs is 10 Euro per person each way.
(For departures between midnight and 7am, a night supplement (+ 20%) is applied.) When calling or messaging please advise the company of your accommodation address to be dropped as near as possible.
