Jazz, rock and pop with an industrial twist
Lovers of music and culture, it's time to descend on Ostrava and add another dose of colour to your summer. The award winning festival returns to the stunning surroundings of Dolní Vítkovice, peppered with former blast furnaces, mines and ironworks which give Colours of Ostrava its distinguished charm.
Bringing together the worlds of jazz, rock, pop and the alternative, the four-day fiesta is also the perfect haven for the entire family, renowned for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere, Colours lays on a dedicated kid's programme around the wider theatrical performances, workshops and film screenings for everyone to enjoy.
Beyond the festival, there will be a range of magical events taking place in Ostrava to celebrate Colours Week as the whole city comes alive for a few days you'll never forget.

Known as 'the steel heart of the Republic' due to its coal mining background, Ostrava is the third largest city in the Czech Republic.
The festival takes place at nearby post-industrial area, Dolní Vítkovice, among the former blast furnaces, mines and ironworks that give the event a whole new dimension.

By plane: The nearest airport is Leoš Janáček Airport Ostrava which is around a 20 minute drive away from the city centre. If you are flying, we recommend getting either a bus or taxi into Ostrava because the airport doesn't have its own train station. There are many buses that run via Ostrava from the airport.
By train: The closest train stop to the festival is Ostrava-střed, which is located approximately 500 metres from the festival grounds. The main destination station for long-distance trains is Ostrava -hlavní nádraží, from where you can make your journey to the festival using Ostrava public transport (tram) or taking a train to Ostrava-střed. Extra train services will be put on for visitors during the course of the festival, and your festival ticket will give you half price travel on trains operated by České dráhy from anywhere in the Czech Republic.
Yes, a 24/7 storage area will be made available to visitors throughout the festival in the Hlubina Mine building. You will be required to pay a small charge of 50 CZK (2 Euro) to store items.
Yes, but spaces are limited. Both the festival and campsite car parks cost 500 CZK (around 18 Euro) and booking in advance is recommended. Check the official website for full details.
