The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962. They are one of the most successful groups of all time, and have released 30 studio albums, 23 live albums, 25 compilation albums and 120 singles. The group has sold 240 million albums worldwide. While the Stones do have a very extensive bag catalogue, these are perhaps their best known songs: “Paint It Black”, “Start Me Up”, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”, “Sympathy for the Devil”, “Street Fighting Man”, Gimme Shelter”, “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”, “Brown Sugar”, “Wild Horses”, “Beast of Burden”, “Angie” and “Honky Tonk Woman”.

The Stones have undertaken some huge and very lucrative worldwide tours, such as Bridges to Babylon Tour ($274m), Voodoo Lounge Tour ($320m), A Bigger Bang Tour ($558m) and No Filter Tour ($346m). They have also won four Grammy Awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award in 1986. 

The Rolling Stones has played a number of festivals including Glastonbury, Roskilde, Desert Trip, Pinkpop, Rock in Lisboa and Isle of Wight.
