Music Festivals in South Africa

Johannesburg and Capetown are especially great cities in South Africa for festivals, both hosting their own editions of Ultra (Check out Ultra Johannesburg and Ultra Capetown) - and of course for any festival in this country, it's hard to find a backdrop that isn't ridiculously beautiful. House music has become a big part of the South African music scene, though historically South Africa is unique for its Afrikaans genre. 

South African festivals include the likes of OppiKoppi, AfrikaBurn and Afropunk Johannesburg.

Artists such as Black Motion, Diplo and Black Coffee can be seen playing at a number of South African festivals.
