Music Festivals in Liverpool

Liverpool is probably most famous for the Beatles playing in the Cavern Club, the ferry ‘cross the mersey, and Liverpool and Everton football clubs. Also, well worth visiting are the Liver Building, Royal Albert Dock and Tate Liverpool.

Outside of the Fab Four, Liverpool has a fine music heritage, including the following acts: Cilla Black, Boo Radleys, The Coral, Elvis Costello, Dead or Alive, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Farm, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Paul Heaton, Jacqui Abbot, The La’s, Lightning Seeds, Rick Astley, The Wombats and The Zutons.

Liverpool hosts a number of great music festivals, featuring everything from rock to pop to dance music.

Liverpool Sound City is a rock and indie festival that has featured the likes of alt-J, Florence + the Machine and the xx, very early on in their careers.

Fusion Festival plays host to some of pop’s biggest names, such as Little Mix, Rudimental, Clean Bandit, David Guetta and Shawn Mendes. Fusion Presents is a rock festival that featured Kings of Leon, Franz Ferdinand, Jake Bugg, Sam Fender and Circa waves in its debut edition. 

Cream Classical in the Park is a dance music festivals that has featured Faithless (DJ set), Paul Oakenfold, Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Seb Fontaine and Tall Paul.

Creamfields in Daresbury is a dance music festival. Its lineups read like a who’s who of the dance music scene: deadmau5, Swedish House Mafia, The Chemical Brothers, Martin Garrix, Eric Prydz, Carl Cox, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Fatboy Slim, The Chainsmokers, Calvin Harris, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Adam Beyer, Hardwell, Steve Aoki and Paul van Dyk.
