Pusha T
Pusha T is an American rapper, songwriter and record executive, who was born in the Bronx, New York. His family soon moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he and his brother, Gene Thornton (No Malice), grew up. With his brother he created the hip-hop duo Clipse, who with the help of Pharrell Williams, were signed to Electra Records. Unfortunately the duo were dropped from the label after one unsuccessful album. They went on to release three albums on major labels.
Pusha T went solo in September 2010, being signed to Kanye West’s GOOD Music label. Pusha T’s full debut album, “My Name Is My Name”, was released in October 2013, featuring artists like Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, Future, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar and Kelly Rowland. In December 2015, Pusha T released the album “King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude” and it achieved over 17 million streams in the first week. In May 2018, he released the album “Daytona” to critical acclaim, scoring 86 on Metacritic.
